2022 Exhibition
This year we have 16 artists participating in the 2022 Darien Alumni Art Show. Varying in mediums, styles and sizes, the artwork will be installed for the June 10th opening night at The Mather Homestead in Darien, Connecticut. 2021 Exhibition
The idea for this show sprang from the pandemic, when artists lost the opportunity to promote themselves and earn an income in the wake of closed galleries and canceled residencies. For DAAS 2021, seventeen artists and artisans were selected, and went on to sell over $14,000 of their own creations! Through community fundraising, DAAS was able to ensure that all of these proceeds from the show went straight to the artists themselves. This show has not only been a wonderful way for artists to further their careers; it has also provided an inspiration to younger Darien students by showing them how the creation of art can continue to be a key part of their adult lives.
