Stockton McMullin (b. 1992) is a contemporary fine artist from Darien, Connecticut. His current (ongoing) body of work expires existentialism through a multi-step process using tape and paint on canvas; incorporating unique brush strokes, stages of print-making, and elements of collage. The process begins from a place of rough abstraction and is crafted into refined compositions. Each piece subtly includes horizontal lines, created by strips of tape that cut through the noise and abstraction from earlier stages in the process. |
